  • One hundred percent recycled, unbleached paper is used for labels, boxes and packing.
  • Most candles sold today are petroleum-based. These candles support petroleum industries and create indoor air pollution. Vance Family Soy Candles uses only soy-based candles to give you healthier homes and outdoors.
  • Vance Family Soy Candles supports local businesses and buys local if possible, as well as works with local artisans to create unique containers for the candles.
  • Vance Family Soy Candles sponsors local, non-profit events. Most recently, For the Love of Dogs - an event aimed at finding adoptive homes for homeless dogs. Ongoing projects include the "Believe candle," sold by Chinaberry Inc. to raise funds for a woman with cancer, and the Keep Portland Weird candle of which 10% of sales goes to Oregon Music Hall of Fame which promotes music education in Oregon Schools.
  • The Vance Family has volunteered at the Oregon Food Bank, Columbia River Stewardship, The Blanchet House & Share, and Meals on Wheels.
  • At least 10% of profits are donated to those in need as well as products to help non profits raise funds.
