Join us! Green Business Morning Blend is an opportunity to network and discuss business environmental initiatives in an informal setting. Held on the 3rd Thursday of the month at different locations, the event is free and open to anyone with an interest in greening their own business or workplace. Please invite colleagues and friends!
This month, Waste Connections will host a special tour of the West Van Materials Recovery Center. Here we will see exactly where our garbage and recycling goes after it leaves your workplace and learn how recyclables are sorted and processed. The tour will open your eyes to how waste is handled, and you’ll be able to ask questions and gain a better understanding of the challenges involved in processing materials.
Please arrive early and wear close-toe shoes and long pants. Safety vests and hard hats will be provided. Light breakfast and presentation before the tour, then Q&A session after. Dress for the weather. Pre-registration is important as space is limited to 20 attendees for this tour.
